Having been disappointed by both predecessors in the franchise I was pleasantly surprised by this installment. This film was able to express the narcissism of Tony Stark, as well as the actual hero of his alter ego, quite well. The wit was well placed and the special effects supported the films story and direction as opposed to being the major feature which has usually been the fault with most comic book adaptations. Sir Ben Kingsley and Robert Downey Junior were great in their respective roles and the portrayal of the super-villain was highly modern and unexpected. I reckon it is a must for all comic book fans, despite the creative liberties taken.
